The Black Keys ...

blk

... fuckin rock, but that's not the point.

Today they released a cover of Captain Beefheart's "I'm Glad", allegedly recorded yesterday.  I'm not familiar with the original track, but I think this one's awesome.  I can't be alone.

lookit me

Precocious kid sets out to travel America with 50 dollars in his pocket. Follow along as he survives on pluck, shameless self-promotion and the essential decency of the white man's culture.

In the battle of Iraq, the United States and our allies have prevailed. (Applause.) And now our coalition is engaged in securing and reconstructing that country. [The Gov't]
Five years since Mission Accomplished. 45 dead in Iraq today. Is this what 'turning the tide' feels like, Bob Steinburg? I can only imagine how bad things must be going for the other guys.
